Missing football coach found dead in Bahrain

ManamaThe 60-year-old man, who was reportedly missing for the past three weeks, was found dead yesterday noon. The body of Thilakan Ondayankaryan was discovered at the Hidd bridge.  

“I was on way back home after work when I saw a police patrol at the Hidd Bridge at around 12:30 pm. And, on finding a CPR from his pocket we found that the body was Thilakan’s,” a resident told DT News.

“Initially it was difficult to recognize him as the body was completely decayed, the body is taken for an autopsy as the cause of death is still unknown. Further investigations are being carried out to see how the body of Thilakan was found at the bridge,” the source added.

“I have informed the family about Thilakan, but we still don’t know what happened or how his body ended up in Hidd,” said Latheesh Bharathan, Managing Director of Indian Talent Academy. 

DT News reached the family for a statement but they were not in a position to comment. 

DT News had earlier reported that Thilakan Ondayankaryan, the Indian national, who worked as a football coach for the Indian Talent Academy, was missing since February 4, 2018. 

Thilakan reportedly went to the Manama market to buy jerseys. And after that, there was no sign of him.
