Parliamentary delegation attends IPU Assembly
Manama: Bahraini parliamentarians stressed on the importance of doubling efforts to combats and eliminate terrorism during their participation in the 134th International Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly that is currently taking place in Zambia.
Shura Council Deputy Chairman Jamal Fakhro stated that the participating GCC, Arabian and Islamic parliamentary blocs had adopted a unified stance to support the Palestinian case, combating terrorism, rejecting foreign interferences in internal affairs of Arab and Islamic countries.
The meetings of the participating delegations in the IPU Assembly began yesterday.
In addition to Fakhro, the delegation consisted of Shura Council Member Dr. Saeed Al Yamani and Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Parliamentary Committee Deputy Chairman MP Mohammed Al Jowder and Parliament General Secretary Abdulla Al Dossary. The assembly will be held till March 23.
