‘90pc drivers adhere to traffic regulations’

Manama :The General Director of Traffic Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa yesterday said that the commitment of drivers to traffic rules could be around 90 per cent, while highlighting that the new traffic law and the point system target uncommitted drivers.

This was revealed during the  Third Traffic Forum held as part of the 32nd Gulf Traffic Week under the patronage of General Director of Southern Governorate Police, Brigadier Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and the General Directorate of Traffic in cooperation with the University of Bahrain. The forum highlighted aims and objectives of the point system. The General Director of Southern Governorate Police inaugurated an exhibition on the sidelines of the forum. An honouring ceremony was also held for the Gulf delegations who participated in the  activities.
