Young Parliamentarians Visit Bahrain Embassy in UK

A delegation from the eighth edition of the Young Parliamentarian Programme visited the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the United Kingdom as part of efforts to strengthen youth awareness of diplomatic and parliamentary work. The visit aimed to provide participants with first-hand insight into the role of diplomatic missions in representing national interests and fostering international relations.

During the visit, the delegation met with H.E. Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom. He briefed the participants on the Embassy’s responsibilities and outlined the key priorities of Bahrain’s diplomatic engagement in the UK. The discussion also highlighted the role of diplomacy in supporting national interests and advancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

The Ambassador underscored the growing importance of parliamentary diplomacy and stressed the vital role of youth in shaping policy and building bridges of dialogue between nations.

The visit marked the conclusion of the eighth edition of the Young Parliamentarian Programme, supported by the British Embassy in Bahrain. It formed part of an international visit organised by the Youth Pioneer Society in collaboration with the British Embassy, bringing together ten young participants.

The initiative aimed to enhance participants’ parliamentary skills, broaden their global perspectives, and deepen their understanding of international experiences, contributing to the development of capable and informed future youth leaders.
