Ramadan is here, and tailoring shops are busier than ever as women start preparing their wardrobes for evening gatherings, ghabgas, and the festive days of Eid. Elegant dresses and traditional mukhawars are in high demand, and many shops are getting fully booked quickly.
For many, picking out Ramadan and Eid outfits is part of the fun of the season. But the rush can catch people by surprise appointment slots fill up fast, and finding an available tailor can be tricky.
With so many social gatherings throughout the month, there’s little time to make last-minute decisions. Tailors recommend booking early to ensure enough time for measurements, stitching, and final adjustments before Eid.
Even with longer working hours in the evenings, the sheer number of orders means early planning is essential for anyone wanting custom-made outfits.
Tailoring prices for mukhawars currently range from BD2.5 to BD7.5, depending on fabric and design, while traditional dresses usually start at BD15 and above.
Ramadan and Eid are all about beauty, celebration, and tradition — and a little preparation ahead of time can make the season even more special.
