Bahrain Minister Inspects Markets Ahead of Ramadan

His Excellency Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, conducted a field visit to several markets, shops, and hypermarkets to monitor the availability of consumer goods and ensure price stability during the holy month of Ramadan.

The visit included major shopping centers and markets such as Sultan Mall, Al Hali Markets, Danube, Lulu Hypermarket, HyperMax, Aswaq Al Osra, and Al Sater Markets. During the tour, the Minister reviewed market operations, inspected the availability of goods, and listened to feedback from market managers regarding supply movement and anticipated demand in the coming weeks.

The Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Industry and Commerce is committed to ensuring the stability of local markets and enhancing their readiness during periods of high demand. He noted that these visits are part of ongoing efforts to monitor market activity, guarantee the availability of essential food items and Ramadan products in sufficient quantities, and maintain stable prices to protect consumers and preserve market balance.

His Excellency also highlighted that these field visits reflect the Ministry’s dedication to direct communication with the commercial sector and to assessing the preparations made by shops and consumer complexes for the holy month. He praised the high level of organization, readiness, and the variety of initiatives and offers provided to consumers.

He added that the collaboration between the Ministry and the private sector demonstrates a sustainable and positive partnership, reflecting growing awareness of national responsibility. This cooperation supports market stability and strengthens food security in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Minister confirmed that the Ministry will continue to intensify field and regulatory visits in the coming period to ensure smooth supply chains and stable prices throughout Ramadan.
