Family-joining visas for Bahraini spouses processed within five days, government says

The government has confirmed that family-joining visas for spouses of Bahraini citizens are now processed within five days, providing faster and more efficient services to support family unity and social stability.
The announcement follows a review of an urgent proposal submitted by MP Jalal Kadhem, who called for quicker visa and residency procedures for spouses of Bahraini men and women. The proposal was approved by Parliament in November 2024.
Ministers stated that routine applications are typically completed within the five-day timeframe. However, some cases may take longer if additional documentation is required, further administrative checks are needed, or multiple authorities must conduct extra scrutiny.
The government emphasized that current processing times meet the objectives of the proposal, ensuring that Bahraini citizens and their families can benefit from timely and reliable visa and residency services.
