A Slice of Turkey Comes Alive at Bahrain’s 2026 Autumn Fair
Visitors to the 2026 Autumn Fair in Manama are finding themselves transported to the streets of Turkey, thanks to the fair’s vibrant Turkish section. From the moment they step in, the sights, sounds, scents, and even the attire of the vendors create an immersive experience reminiscent of a bustling Turkish market.
A Feast for the Senses
The aroma of freshly prepared Turkish delights fills the air, with traditional baklava, rich chocolates, creamy dondurma ice cream, and refreshing ayran drinks drawing crowds. Authentic Turkish coffee, brewed slowly over hot sand, adds another sensory layer.
Adding to the appeal are well-known Turkish confectionery brands familiar to Bahraini visitors, many of whom have sought them out during trips to Istanbul and other Turkish cities. Their presence at the fair allows locals to enjoy the authentic flavors of Turkey without leaving the country.
Craft and Culture on Display
The Turkish section extends beyond food. Stalls feature clothing, accessories, and handmade items that reflect Turkish heritage, with vendors dressed in traditional Ottoman-style attire. This attention to detail transforms the area into a cultural showcase rather than a conventional retail space.
A Highlight of the Autumn Fair
The 2026 Autumn Fair spans four spacious halls, offering fashion, cosmetics, home décor, toys, electronics, and an expanded food and beverage zone in Hall Two, which hosts more than ten restaurants. A dedicated stage features live performances and cultural activities, while popular characters Dabdoob and Dabdooba entertain children with interactive surprises.
Despite the fair’s size and variety, the Turkish section has quickly become one of its main attractions, offering visitors a sensory journey and a taste of travel, all within Bahrain. It reinforces the Autumn Fair’s reputation as a destination that goes beyond traditional exhibitions.
