Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and in celebration of the longstanding ties between the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi inaugurated the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Park.

The opening coincides with the Kingdom’s National Days celebrations and the 26th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Accession to the Throne, and the accompanying national events.

According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the park has undergone comprehensive development to provide visitors with a unique natural experience.

It features a forest of more than 1,100 mature Ghaf trees, a nearly 700-meter air-conditioned walkway, elevated paths for scenic views, and designated areas for sports activities.

Facilities

Additional facilities include a bicycle track, elevated paths for skiing and jumping bikes, open grassy areas, yoga and meditation platforms, children’s play zones, and spaces for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.

A modern cafe, food carts, and fresh water fountains enhance the visitor experience.

Mohammed Ali Al Shurafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi, highlighted that the park reflects the deep fraternal ties between the two nations and their peoples, expressing pride in the department’s role in maintaining this landmark.
