Bahrain Prepares for 46th GCC Summit, Reinforcing Commitment to Gulf Integration

Manama: Bahrain is set to host the 46th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit on December 3, 2025. This event highlights the Kingdom’s crucial role in promoting joint Gulf action and enhancing regional unity.

The summit will bring together the leaders of the GCC member states, reaffirming Bahrain’s longstanding commitment to supporting Gulf cooperation under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. His Majesty has consistently emphasised that Gulf solidarity, integration, and collective action are strategic priorities essential for safeguarding the shared future of the region's nations and peoples.

This year marks the eighth time Bahrain has hosted a GCC Summit, reflecting the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to strengthen coordination among member states and reinforce the GCC framework. Bahrain's role underscores the deep-rooted connections that unite Gulf nations, built on shared identity, mutual respect, and a common vision for stability and prosperity.

His Majesty King Hamad has repeatedly stressed that unity and continuous coordination among GCC states are the foundations of regional stability. He has affirmed Bahrain's commitment to standing alongside its Gulf partners in tackling regional challenges, reinforcing solidarity, and working together to promote peace, security, and sustainable development.

Bahrain last hosted the GCC Summit in December 2016, during which the “Sakhir Declaration” called for enhanced protection against regional threats and deeper integration across political, security, and economic spheres.

The 46th GCC Summit occurs at a crucial time, characterised by rapidly changing regional dynamics that necessitate even stronger cooperation and coordination. Leaders are expected to build on previous achievements and advance collective efforts aimed at enhancing integration and driving shared progress across various sectors.

As Bahrain prepares to welcome Gulf leaders once again, the Kingdom continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering unity and shaping a more secure and prosperous future for the region.
