HRH Premier visits 'Gravity' project

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has lauded Bahraini youth's 'innovative' initiatives that support tourism through launching recreational projects that meet the needs of Bahraini youngsters, serve the economic sector and boost the tourism sector.

This came as he paid a visit to the Samhaan Holding Company's "Gravity" project which includes the tallest Indoor Skydiving Tunnel in the World with a glass flight chamber of 12 metres high and 4.3 metres wide, and a wind speed that can reach up to 290 km/h.

The Tallest Indoor Skydiving Tunnel, aiming to achieve the dream of indoor flying, is one of the leading projects that boost tourism, sport and economic sectors in the kingdom.

HRH the Prime Minister was briefed by Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa on the "Gravity" project and the opportunities it provides for indoor self-flying amateurs and professionals.

HRH Premier expressed admiration for the project, noting that the creative ideas embedded in it entitle it to be among the biggest projects that support sport tourism in the kingdom and reflect its advanced tourism and sport, as well as the varied means of entertainment it provides for visitors.

The Prime Minister praised the Bahrain youth's creative ideas and visions that consolidate the kingdom's status on the world's sport and tourism map, which, he said, is reflected in Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa's "Gravity" project, the first of its kind in the region and among the best in the world.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his visit to the project, which, asserted, confirms his unlimited support to all initiatives that enhance Bahrain's competitive potentials in the tourism and sports fields.

He added that the project is among the best means to achieve the self-flying dream, and provide recreational activities for Bahraini families and tourists.
