Bahrain Strengthens Regional Dialogue at Munich Leaders’ Meeting in Al-Ula

His Excellency Dr. Abdulatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, took part in the second Munich Leaders’ Meeting held in Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia. The event, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, brought together Arab and international foreign ministers, political experts, and regional specialists to discuss pressing global and regional challenges.

In his opening remarks, Saudi Foreign Minister His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud underscored the critical need for collaboration in today’s complex international environment. “Amid multiple crises and uncertainties worldwide, coordinated and wise action is more urgent than ever,” he said, highlighting the Middle East as a focal point of global attention.

Prince Faisal emphasized Saudi Arabia’s readiness to engage constructively in addressing urgent regional issues and fostering dialogue to promote stability and peace. He called for sustained cooperation as a means to tackle even the most complex challenges, stressing collective responsibility as the path to progress.

Over the course of two days, the conference addressed key regional and international topics, including the Middle East situation, Red Sea maritime security, energy stability, the Israeli-Iranian nuclear dispute, Syria’s reconstruction, peace efforts in Ukraine, and climate, water, and food security.

Representing Bahrain at the meeting were His Excellency Shaikh Ali bin Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Khalifa, Ambassador of Bahrain to Saudi Arabia, and Ambassador Saeed Abdulkhaleq Saeed, Head of Coordination and Follow-up at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with the accompanying ministerial delegation. Bahrain’s active participation highlights its commitment to regional cooperation, dialogue, and shared solutions to global challenges.
