HH Shaikh Nasser Leads Official Visit to Serbia to Boost Economic and Trade Ties

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, has arrived in the Republic of Serbia on an official visit aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Serbia across various fields, particularly in the economic, trade, investment, and military sectors.

Upon arrival at Belgrade International Airport, His Highness was received by H.E. Marko Djurić, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, and H.E. Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Serbia and resident ambassador in the Russian Federation.

This visit underscores Bahrain’s commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to deepening ties with friendly European nations and opening new horizons for cooperation that serve shared interests.

During his visit, HH Shaikh Nasser held a meeting with a delegation from the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), led by Chairman Sameer Abdullah Nass, and attended by Ambassador Al Saati, along with Bahraini businessmen and prominent economic figures.

HH Shaikh Nasser praised the leadership’s commitment to strengthening Bahrain’s relations with Serbia, noting that the government, under HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, continues to work diligently to enhance Bahrain’s international standing and support initiatives that expand economic and investment cooperation. He stressed the importance of encouraging the private sector to actively participate in joint programs and projects.

He further highlighted Bahrain’s determination to boost its economic and trade relations with Serbia, commending the pivotal role played by BCCI in supporting Bahraini businesses and enabling them to access new markets, including Serbia’s. His Highness emphasized the chamber’s role in fostering investment partnerships with Serbia, which contributes to advancing sustainable development, broadening opportunities for the Bahraini economy, and enabling entrepreneurs to exchange expertise and expand joint ventures.

For their part, the Chairman and members of the BCCI, along with Bahraini traders, expressed their deep appreciation to HH Shaikh Nasser for his support in empowering Bahrain’s private sector and strengthening its international role.
