As part of its efforts to enhance community partnership in maritime safety, the Coast Guard has organised an awareness campaign in cooperation with Bapco Energies at the Muharraq Fishermen’s Harbour.
The Coast Guard affirmed that the initiative comes within its ongoing awareness programmes aimed at promoting compliance with maritime laws and regulations and strengthening cooperation with the private sector to help protect lives and property and preserve the marine environment.
The campaign also highlighted the ongoing 3D survey project being implemented in the northern waters, where participants were briefed on the related safety requirements and guidelines.
Emphasis was placed on adhering to maritime safety instructions, avoiding activities in the designated survey area, and complying with safe speed limits to ensure the safety of all seagoers.
