A group of enthusiastic students from New Millennium School, Bahrain had the unique opportunity to visit the Indian Navy ships docked at the Port in Bahrain as part of an educational and cultural outreach program.

The visit, organized in collaboration with the Indian Embassy in Bahrain and the Indian Navy, aimed to foster awareness among school children about maritime security, naval operations, and the Indian Navy’s role in international cooperation.

The students were warmly welcomed by naval officers on board the ships, INS MORMUGAO AND INS TARKASH, frontline warships equipped with advanced navigation, communication, and defense systems.

The officers gave a guided tour of key areas of the ships, including the bridge, operations room, and living quarters, explaining the ships’ capabilities and daily life at sea.

The children also had the chance to interact with the sailors and officers, ask questions, and learn about careers in the Navy. A short presentation on the Indian Navy’s role in ensuring maritime safety and its humanitarian missions across the globe was also part of the visit.

Speaking about the experience, the students said, “The visit to Indian Navy Ships was an incredible learning experience. It gave us a unique perspective on how the Indian Navy functions and the dedication it takes to serve the nation at sea. It was truly inspiring.”

The visit concluded with a group photo and a vote of thanks from students on behalf of the school, acknowledging the Indian Navy’s efforts in hosting the educational tour and providing a rich, informative experience.

School Chairman Dr Ravi Pillai, Managing Director Mrs Geetha Pillai and Principal Dr Arun Kuumar Sharma expressed their deepest appreciation and sincere gratitude to the Indian Embassy in Bahrain and the Indian Navy for initiating such a unique and illuminating experience for the students.
