Muharraq Governor Thanks HM the King for Supporting Education
The Governor of Muharraq, Mr. Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, has extended, on behalf of the people and parents of Muharraq, his deepest gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his inspiring address marking the start of the new academic year 2025–2026.
He said the royal speech highlighted His Majesty’s strong commitment to developing the education system and creating conditions that ensure quality learning for all students.
The Governor also expressed sincere thanks to Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, for his efforts in reopening Muharraq’s historic schools, including Abdulrahman Al Nasser Secondary School and Omar bin Al Khattab Intermediate School, after major renovation and maintenance works. He praised the ministry’s commitment to preserving the architectural heritage of these schools while ensuring their readiness to provide sustainable and efficient education services.
Mr. bin Hindi also commended the role of the Community Police and Muharraq Police Directorate, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Traffic and the Ministry of Education, for their efforts to ensure the safety of students, parents, and staff. He stressed the importance of coordinated action to manage traffic and secure school surroundings, reflecting strong teamwork between the concerned authorities.
The Governor further urged parents to follow official safety instructions, emphasizing that public safety is a top priority. He assigned a team from the governorate to conduct field visits to schools to monitor traffic and security arrangements and to make sure students enjoy a safe and welcoming environment at the start of the school year.
