The Ministry of Youth Affairs will host a comprehensive national celebration to mark International Youth Day 2025, observed annually on August 12, under the theme “Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future.”
The event will take place next Tuesday as part of the 14th edition of the Youth City 2030 project.
According to the Ministry, this year’s program features a series of inspiring initiatives, most notably the launch of Bahrain’s first Youth Farmers Market in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture and the National Initiative for Agricultural Sector Development.
Running from August 10 to 14, the market represents a significant step in fostering collaboration between government entities and encouraging youth innovation by creating productive spaces that contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Highlights include the “Farm to Fork” experience, offering visitors the chance to sample authentic Bahraini farm flavors and high-quality local produce.
Environmental awareness initiatives such as “Clean Plate” and “Zero Waste & Plastic Cure” will also be featured, alongside the presentation of INJAZ Bahrain projects, showcasing youth leadership, innovation, and a renewed sense of national responsibility.
