Manama Bahrain’s national wheelchair basketball team is stepping up preparations for a crucial test later this month by heading to Turkey for an intensive training camp from July 1 to 12. The camp is part of final build-up plans for the 9th West Asia Open Championship, which takes place in Amman, Jordan from July 13 to 19.

With competition in the region growing stronger, Bahrain is aiming to sharpen both the physical and tactical readiness of its squad—looking to make a real statement on the regional stage. The camp in Turkey is part of Bahrain’s broader efforts to elevate para-sport and ensure high-level representation in international competition.

Under the guidance of head coach Hamad Ali Mohammed and team director Hussain Madan, the players will focus on refining game systems, improving endurance, and fostering team cohesion ahead of the high-stakes regional event.
