Let us renew our pledge to serve both our nations with dedication and harmony

It is a moment of profound pride as we mark the historic 150th anniversary of our national song, ‘Vande Mataram’. Penned by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, this hymn was not merely a song but a mantra that ignited the flame of independence and united millions under a single vision of freedom.

Today, as we reflect on this year’s theme, we are reminded that ‘Vande Mataram’ is more than lyrics; it is an enduring spirit of unity and selfless love for the motherland. It teaches us that our identity is rooted in our shared heritage and our collective strength.

Here in the Kingdom of Bahrain, thousands of miles from our motherland, this spirit remains vibrant. The Indian community, and particularly our Maharashtrian family, continues to uphold these values by serving as ambassadors of peace and hard work. By contributing to the growth of this beautiful Kingdom while preserving our rich culture, we honor the true essence of patriotism—respect for the land we come from and the land that sustains us.

Let us renew our pledge to serve both our nations with dedication and harmony.

Vande Mataram! Jai Hind.
