Bahrain’s Royal Endurance Team set for Estonia ride

Bahrain’s Royal Endurance Team will take part in the FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Horses today in Estonia.

His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Royal Endurance Team Captain, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, directed to participate in the 120-kilometre race.

The Kingdom’s team, which has arrived in Estonia, have completed all their preparations to ensure their horses are ready to compete in the race and achieve good results, supported by HH Shaikh Nasser.

HH Shaikh Nasser is the holder of the international title after winning the FEI World Endurance Championship for eightyear-old horses in Spain in October of last year.

Team director Dr Khalid Ahmed Hassan said the royal squad is ready for the competition, hailing the follow-up and directives of HH Shaikh Nasser.

The Royal Endurance Team will be represented by eight riders, who will take part in the international race.

They include HH Shaikh Isa bin Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Salman Isa, Raed Mahmoud, Mohammed Abdulhamid Al Hashemi, Othman Al Awadhi, Isa Al Enzi, Khalid Youssef and Fahd Helal Al Khateri.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Faisal is taking part following the positive results he had achieved in previous European competitions.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Faisal hailed the support and follow-up of HH Shaikh Nasser, which enabled him to reach higher levels in endurance competitions.

He pledged to spare no effort to achieve positive results and continue enhancing the standing of the Royal Endurance Team in all world championships.

Aside from the Royal Endurance Team, the event will also see riders competing from the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Syria, Argentina, Hungary, Norway, Lithuania, Slovakia, Spain, Ukraine and hosts Estonia.
