Al Jabriya Technical School and Shaikh Abdulaziz Secondary School secured hardfought victories in Group 4 of Nasser bin Hamad Football Tournament for Secondary Schools against the British School of Bahrain and Bayan School, respectively.

In an eventful game, Al Jabriya saw their lead cancelled out on two occasions in the first half as the British School of Bahrain proved to be a tough opponent in the match held at Isa Town Club’s football field.

Their first goal came through Haider Abdulredha, who skillfully tapped the ball into the net following a corner kick in the 16th minute.

This advantage proved to be short-lived as the British School of Bahrain’s Salman Mohammed levelled the score four minutes later.

After 10 minutes, Khalid Saif put the eventual winners in the lead again before Ali Humaidan’s equaliser two minutes later.

In the dying minutes of the first half, Sayed Karar Alawi stunned the British School of Bahrain with a well-taken freekick to make the result 3-2.

In the second half, the British School of Bahrain attacked in numbers, while Al Jabriya Technical School closed all the spaces in the back and adopted counter-attack strategy.

They didn’t just manage to thwart all their opponents’ assaults, but also scored a fourth goal through Sayed Ali Jawad, who successfully completed a well-executed counter-attack.

Meanwhile, Shaikh Abdulaziz Secondary School came back from 1-0 behind to win 3-1 in their match against Bayan School, held at Al Ittihad Club’s football field.

The first half saw both teams’ goalkeepers putting in strong performances as the first half ended 0-0.

Bayan School’s Sami Oudeh found the net in the second half, much to the shock of Shaikh Abdulaziz School.

The victors besieged their opponents and, incredibly, turned the match around in four minutes.

They equalised the score in the 63rd minute through Ali Hussain, and he also sent them in front in the 65th minute before Sajad Ibrahim secured the result in the 67th minute.
