Al Murbati says all set for first Nasser bin Hamad Cycling Tour

Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, the Bahrain Cycling Association, and Bahrain’s leading event management company have announced their full readiness to organise the 1st Nasser bin Hamad Cycling Tour for Amateurs which will take place from March 24 to 26.

Registration will open on Friday, where the participants will be given special numbers. Meanwhile, a technical meeting will take place on Wednesday, during which all relevant information will be shared with the participants including the race routes.

Amal Al Murbati, Executive Director of Faalyat said, “We are proud of organising this prestigious tour in its first edition as it’s blessed with the interest and support of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Therefore, we are keen to make this event a huge success in coordination and collaboration with Bahrain Cycling Association.”

“We held several meetings in the past period and we are ready for this event. The routes of the race have been earmarked. and now we will meet with the participants and the arbitrators to inform them about all the details.” she added.

“The Tour is one of the important races in the cycling sport and will allow us to identify many talents who will be able to represent our national teams. We are ready to make this event a tremendous success in collaboration with Bahrain Cycling Association,” she concluded, wishing all the participants the best of luck.

It’s worth noting that the three-day race will be held in Al Bar on March 24, 2022, covering a distance between 55-60km, while it will take place in Al Durrat on March 25, 2022, for a distance of 80- 95km. The final day will see cyclists vying in Al Jazair public beach on a distance of 60-70km. The event will be aired on Bahrain Sports and Dubai Sports channels.
