Bahrain’s parataekwondo national team concluded a training camp in South Korea as part of its preparations for upcoming continental competitions, the Bahrain Olympic Committee said.

The camp represents a key stage in the team’s build-up to the Asian Championships and the Asian Games qualifying tournament, scheduled for Mongolia next week.

The Bahraini delegation included athletes Ibrahim Radwan (63kg) and Menan Jouzi (46kg), under the supervision of coaches Tawfiq Nuweiser and Fajer Al Binali.

Training focused on both technical and physical development, with the team gaining valuable experience through sparring sessions against South Korea’s parataekwondo squad, widely regarded as one of the strongest in the world.

As part of the programme, the athletes also trained at Kyung Hee University, where they took part in competitive bouts with the university team, further enhancing their international exposure.

Officials said the camp was designed to strengthen ties with leading international teams and improve the athletes’ readiness for major upcoming events, including long-term preparation for the Los Angeles Paralympic Games.

The Bahrain parataekwondo team expressed its appreciation to its South Korean counterparts for their hospitality and high-level training environment, noting that the experience will contribute to raising performance standards and supporting the team’s ambitions for future Asian success.
