Alba Hosts Walkathon in Celebration of Bahrain Sports Day

Alba Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali led a walkathon as Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. marked Bahrain Sports Day at its HRH Princess Sabeeka Oasis on Thursday. The event brought together members of the executive team and employees from various departments in a show of support for the national initiative.
The CEO praised the support of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for dedicating a national day to sports. He also acknowledged the leadership of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
Highlighting the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, the CEO noted the positive impact of regular physical activity on overall well-being and said Bahrain Sports Day provides a valuable opportunity for the community to engage in activities that promote both physical and mental health. Launched in 2017, Bahrain Sports Day encourages widespread participation in sports and aims to foster a culture of physical activity as part of daily life.
