UAE and Syria Shine on Day Two of FBMA International Show Jumping Cup 2026
The UAE and Syria recorded strong results on the second day of the 13th FBMA International Show Jumping Cup 2026 in Abu Dhabi.
Wednesday’s competitions took place at Al Forsan International Sports Resort, where eight categories were held and riders delivered impressive performances across all levels.
The event is organised by the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, and under the supervision of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
In the Juniors’ One Round with Jump Off (130cm), UAE rider Saud Mohamed Almaeeni won gold riding Kartouche MZ. He finished ahead of compatriot Fatima Intan Yousuf Abdullah Al Mulla, while Bulgaria’s Nastassia Klats placed third.
Syria’s Zuhir Mhd Fadi Al Zabibi topped the One Round with Jump Off (110cm) on Snow White. UAE’s Bakheet Mohamed Alqubaisi finished second, followed by Iraq’s Hamzah Aldulaimi in third.
In the Special Two Phases (115cm), UAE’s Saif Owaida Mohammed Al Karbi claimed first place with a clear round on Pink Floyd V&V. Britain’s Katy Speller and Syria’s Sabri Badenjki finished second and third respectively.
Syria’s Layth Ghrayeb continued his winning form with victory in the One Round with Jump Off (135cm), riding Favorite De Grandry. He held off UAE riders Shaikh Khalid Sultan Al Qasimi and Fatima Intan Yousuf Abdullah Al Mulla.
Ghrayeb later added another gold medal in the One Round with Jump Off (120cm), ahead of UAE’s Saif Owaida Mohammed Al Karbi and Mohamed Ghali Al Zaibak.
In the Special Two Phases (125cm), UAE’s Mohamed Hamad Ali Al Kirbi took first place on Onora J, followed by Salim Ahmed Al Suwaidi of the UAE and Greece’s Dimitrios Natsis.
The One Round Against the Clock – GP Qualifier (140cm) was won by Syria’s Amre Hamcho. Egypt’s Amr Gamal Mohamed finished second, while Syria’s Mohamed Osama Al Zabibi placed third.
Another Special Two Phases (125cm) saw UAE’s Hazza Hamad Al Dhaheri claim victory, ahead of Syria’s Mohamad Mogheeth Al Shehab and UAE’s Salim Ahmed Al Suwaidi.
The Fatima Bint Mubarak International Show Jumping Cup 2026 will continue daily until Friday with international events, before concluding with the national competition on Sunday.
