Sundaresan and Singh claim victory at Awali Golf Club’s Banz Fourball

Balbir Singh and Nathan Sundaresan claimed victory in the Banz Fourball, winning the betterball Stableford competition with a commanding 45 points as the seventh edition of the tournament, sponsored by the Banz Group, was contested at the club.
Runners-up were Bader Al Dosari and Mohamed Ali Al Kowari on 43 points, ahead of Benedikt Schwerm and Gérard van Gerwen, and Abddulrahim Fakhroo and Fares Khalifa Al Merisi, who also finished on 43 but placed third and fourth respectively on countback.
Nathan Prince and Sanjeev Bhalla, who benefited from the windy conditions, and Peter Burns and Melanie Swain both carded 42 points to take fifth and sixth. Abdul Elah Fakhroo and Nasser Yaqoob Saleh finished seventh on 40 points, with Abdulla Mubarak Al Jowher and Salim Khalifa Masood eighth on the same tally.
Prizes were presented by tournament director Nathan Sundaresan and club captain Steve Newall, who thanked the Banz Group for its continued support of one of the club’s premier pairs events.
