Open Track at Bahrain International Circuit tonight

Race fans will be able to enjoy the ultimate thrill tonight at the Bahrain International Circuit’s (BIC) ever popular Open Track Night in Sakhir.

Scores of speed enthusiasts from all over the Gulf and beyond usually turn up to drive their very own cars or motorbikes along BIC’s 5.412-kilometre Grand Prix track – used for the Formula 1 and the FIA World Endurance Championship races.

The action is from 4pm until 11pm under BIC’s state-of-the-art track lighting system.

Participants will be able to choose between driving for a whole session or just for a half session option between 4pm and 7pm or 8pm and 11pm, while a single 30-minute session is also available.

Registration can be done at BIC today from 3pm, however, those who book in advance will be able to enjoy discounted prices.

Friends or family members who would like to accompany a participant in their car may do so for an extra fee.

Tonight’s event is run to the highest of international safety standards, although participants will still be able to push their vehicles to their very limit.

All entrants must first go through scrutineering before being taking to the track. Participants  must also own a valid driver’s licence and wear appropriate gear.
