Lace Up for a Cause: Zayed Charity Run Returns to Abu Dhabi on 29 November

Abu Dhabi, UAE – Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, the 14th edition of the Zayed Charity Run Abu Dhabi is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 29 November 2025. The annual event brings together families, athletes, students, and teams to celebrate unity, wellbeing, and the spirit of giving back.

A Legacy of Compassion and Community
Since its inception in 2001, the Zayed Charity Run has grown into a global movement inspired by the values of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The event embodies compassion, generosity, and community solidarity, making it one of the most meaningful sporting occasions in the region.

Supporting Groundbreaking Medical Research
Proceeds from this year’s run will benefit three pioneering medical research programmes at the Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center (ADSCC), focusing on personalised cancer therapy, bioinformatics-driven precision medicine, and innovative perinatal treatments. Through these initiatives, the run continues to champion health, innovation, and positive social impact.

This edition is proudly supported by key partners including ADQ, Emirates as the Official Airline Partner, Al Habtoor, e&, NORINCO, and Emirates Red Crescent, whose contributions strengthen the event’s reach and community influence.

Voices Behind the Run
Lt. Gen. (Rtd.) Mohamed Helal Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Zayed Charity Run, said:

Run Details
The 2025 edition will welcome up to 15,000 participants, featuring 3km, 5km, and 10km routes between the iconic Wahat Al Karama and ERTH Hotel Abu Dhabi. Both the start and finish lines will serve as vibrant community hubs, offering scenic views and easy access for spectators.

Beyond the Race
ERTH Hotel will host a lively community village post-run, featuring family activities, kids’ entertainment, live performances, food and beverage stalls, and photo opportunities.

Prizes and Registration
A total prize pool of AED 1.5 million will be awarded across all categories, with medal ceremonies taking place on event day. Registration is open to all UAE residents at AED 55 (+VAT) per participant, while corporate and group teams of 100 or more benefit from a discounted rate of AED 40 (+VAT) per participant.

Run Pack Collection
Participants can collect their run packs from 24–28 November 2025, between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm at ERTH Hotel Abu Dhabi. Early collection is encouraged to avoid queues.

Runners and families are urged to secure their spots early and join the UAE community for a day of health, generosity, and inspiration at one of the region’s most celebrated events.
