Lee wins boys’ road race as Bahrain’s Thamer finishes fourth Hussain Almaskati

Hong Kong ’s Lee Wan Chun clinched gold in the Boys’ Road Race yesterday morning at the Bahrain Asian Youth Games, crossing the line in 2 hours, 23 minutes, and 54 seconds. Thailand’s Kittaphat Homkajorn finished in the same time to take silver, while Saudi Arabia’s Taha Al Khalifah earned bronze in 2:24:04, just ten seconds behind.
Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Hasan Thamer impressed on home roads, finishing fourth in 2:24:12, only 18 seconds off the winner. He remained in the leading group for much of the race before losing ground in the final sprint. Fellow Bahraini Isa Al Khasham clocked 2:24:39 to finish 36th, while Hussain Kadhem was among the riders who did not finish.
