As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with leading companies and brands in line with its development plans and Bahrain’s hosting of international championships and horse racing events, the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club has signed an extended sponsorship agreement with Bahrain Jewellery Centre, naming the Japanese brand “Grand Seiko” as the official watch of the 2025–2026 horse racing season.

This initiative also aims to enhance Bahraini–Japanese cooperation in equestrian sports and horse racing. It follows recent milestones such as the commemorative race held in Japan’s Nakayama Racecourse in the name of His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the first-ever participation of Japanese horses in the Bahrain International Trophy during the previous season.

On this occasion, Mr. Yousif Osama Buhejji, Chief Executive Officer of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, highlighted the importance of this partnership and its role in strengthening the club’s status as a preferred destination for leading companies and brands. He praised Bahrain Jewellery Centre and Grand Seiko for their continued support and contribution to achieving the club’s goals of developing horse racing in the Kingdom of Bahrain and enhancing its presence on the international stage.

For his part, Mr. Ahmed Shirazi, Managing Director of Bahrain Jewellery Centre, expressed his pride in continuing to support horse racing in Bahrain, noting the remarkable progress and international successes achieved thanks to the efforts of the High Authority of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Court of the Prime Minister. He affirmed that the continued partnership with the club reflects confidence in its path and achievements, and further elevates Bahrain’s distinguished reputation in the world of horse racing.
