Manama Bow Out of Arab Clubs Championship
Quarterfinal heartbreak for Manama in UAE clash
Manama’s basketball team exited the Arab Clubs Championship in Dubai on Saturday, losing 81-75 to Kuwaiti side Kazma in the quarterfinals at Al Nasr Club Hall.
The Bahraini side controlled much of the game, but Kazma seized the lead in the closing seconds to end Manama’s run.
Ali Jaber led the scoring for Manama with 17 points, supported by Imran Hassan with 14 and Mohammed Buallay contributing 13.
Group Stage Recap
Manama finished fourth in Group B with three points, having lost all three preliminary matches: 79–73 to Lebanon’s Antonine, 103–78 to Libya’s Al Ahly Tripoli, and 76–65 to Kuwait SC.
Despite the group-stage defeats, the tournament structure allowed all teams to progress to the round of 16. Manama rebounded with a 75–70 victory over Qadsia of Kuwait, booking their place in the quarterfinals before their narrow loss to Kazma.
