Bahrain U17 Handball Beat Saudi Arabia
Bahrain’s under-17 handball team won 34–33 over Saudi Arabia yesterday in the main round of the Asian Men’s U17 Championship, taking place in Amman, Jordan, and serving as qualification for the World Cup.
The first half ended with Saudi Arabia in front 18–16. But Bahrain came back strongly in the second period, producing an impressive performance to overturn the deficit and win by a single goal, boosting their chances of reaching the final rounds.
Bahrain continue their campaign today against Chinese Taipei at 9pm in their last Group A main round fixture.
