Billionaire Leaves Entire Fortune to Football Star
In a surprising turn of events, Neymar Jr, the 33-year-old Santos FC star, has reportedly been named the sole heir to the fortune of an anonymous Brazilian billionaire. The will, formalized in June at a Porto Alegre office, has shocked fans and the football world alike.
According to local outlet RIC, the billionaire—believed to be single and childless—chose Neymar as his heir because he “identified with him on a personal level.” Sources also say the businessman admired Neymar’s close relationship with his father, which mirrored his own family bonds.
While the exact size of the inheritance has not been disclosed, Neymar’s fortune is already estimated between $300 million and $330 million (£223m–£245m). Experts note that the inheritance could still face legal challenges before being finalized.
Neymar recently returned to Brazil to rejoin his boyhood club, Santos FC, after a season in the Saudi Pro League with Al Hilal, where he played alongside global stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané. The footballer, who is a father of four, has not yet made a public comment regarding the inheritance.
