The stage is set for the 23rd Arab Men's Volleyball Championship, which will take place from October 30 to November 11.
Bahrain has now hosted the Arab Men's Volleyball Championship six times (1994, 1998, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2024), making it the country with the most tournaments held. Jordan follows with three editions (1986, 2000, 2002), along with Egypt, which also hosted three times (1996, 2016, 2018). Syria (1980, 1992) and Kuwait (1977, 2014) have each hosted the tournament twice. Tunisia (1984) and Saudi Arabia (1988) have each hosted the event once. Egypt won the last Arab Men’s Volleyball Championship, with Bahrain finishing runners-up, and Oman claiming bronze.
Key Attendees at the Draw Ceremony
The draw was attended by prominent figures in the volleyball community, including Mr. Feras Al-Halwachi, the Secretary-General of the Arab Volleyball Federation, and Mr. Yousif Kanoo, a member of the Federation's Executive Committee.
Bahrain Placed in Group A
Bahrain’s national team has been placed in Group A, where they will face strong competition from Tunisia, Iraq, and Oman. The national squad will be focusing on preparing for these high-stakes matches in the weeks leading up to the tournament.
Group B
Group B, meanwhile, will feature regional powerhouses Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.
