‘TARANG 2016’ off to a colourful start
Manama : The one-month long Indian School Youth Festival, ‘TARANG’, marked its beginning in the Isa Town campus yesterday.
More than 3000 students have registered for the festival, with over 126 individual as well as group events to choose from.
Finals are scheduled to take place at six different venues in the school.
Awards include ‘Kalaratna’ and ‘Kalashri’- Individual trophies for the best girl and boy participant respectively.
Students are placed in four Houses namely, Aryabhatta, C.V Raman, J.C. Bose, and Vikram Sarabhai.
Yesterday’s events included Painting, Pencil Drawing, Poetry writing and Short story writing.
A flower arrangement competition was also held in the morning.
The Indian School Youth Festival is being held for the 13th consecutive year.
