Alba celebrates excellence in waste management with PDWM certification

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba)’s Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali proudly recognised nine national Alba employees for successfully completing their Professional Diploma in Waste Management (PDWM) from Arabian Gulf University (AGU) in a ceremony held on 01 February 2024 at the Company’s premises.
The certificate is offered by AGU’s Department of Natural Resources & Environment, College of Graduate Studies, supported by United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
With seven more Alba employees currently enrolled in the same certification, Alba has underlined its commitment to the third pillar of its Environment, Social and governance (ESG) Roadmap ’Circular Economy and Secondary Aluminium’, by equipping its employees from diverse functions with the knowhows that will boost sustainable, innovative and integrated waste management practices in Alba.
