Thai trade delegation to visit Bahrain

As part of efforts to boost trade ties between the two countries, a Thai trade delegation will visit the Kingdom between June 19 and June 21.  Bahraini importers, buyers and developers will have a rare opportunity to interact with the delegation members during a special session to be held at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday between 10 am and 12 noon.

  The visit attains immense significance amidst bilateral trade showing a growth of 43 per cent last year when compared to 2017.  Construction materials and related products are among the top items Thailand exports to Bahrain due to its high quality, excellent design and reasonable price, according to the Thai Ministry of Commerce.  “Aside from the competent and high-quality of products imported, Thai companies are also known to be highly professional in international trade and well known to be of trustworthy in services and dealings.” 

The delegation is the first official team representing the Thai Ministry of Commerce to visit the Kingdom in many years.  The members of the delegation will be showcasing various products and opportunities to create a strong trade collaboration between both nations, according to Panot Punyahotra, Executive Director of the Department of International Trade Promotion, Thai Ministry of Commerce.   “The delegation consists of 12 Thai companies and will have business meetings with representatives of BCCI,” Panot said.
