Derasat hosts training on A.I. tools for future energy investments.

The Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) has launched a specialized training course titled “Artificial Intelligence Tools for Shaping the Future of Energy Investments” as part of its ongoing efforts to advance national research and training capabilities.

The program brought together researchers and experts from leading national institutions and companies, focusing on equipping participants with the skills to apply artificial intelligence in energy data analysis, anticipate global market trends, and support evidence-based policymaking.

Delivered by Dr. Omar Ahmad Al-Ubaydli, Director of Studies and Research; Dr. Abdullah Isa Al-Abbasi, Director of the Energy and Environment Program; and Engineer Sabika Khalid Ismail, the course featured a series of presentations on AI models and practical applications in energy efficiency, supply chain optimization, and innovative solutions for achieving carbon neutrality. Participants also explored emerging international trends in integrating smart technologies into renewable energy projects.

Derasat CEO Abdulla Mohamed Alahmed emphasized that the initiative marks a significant step in strengthening national expertise that merges strategic thinking with modern technological tools. He underscored the Center’s commitment to reinforcing its role as a leading think tank fostering the development of highly skilled professionals across its areas of work.

The course forms part of Derasat’s broader suite of executive training programs designed to deepen the integration between research and professional development, further positioning the Center as a key intellectual hub supporting Bahrain’s transition toward a knowledge-driven economy.
