RHF opens national campaign to support Earthquake victims

The Royal Humanitarian Foundation launched a national charitable campaign yesterday as directed by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to support quake victims in Turkey and Syria.

The campaign is under the patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.

“We have all seen the devastating impact of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, and pray Allah the Almighty to have mercy on martyrs in both countries.

Let us stand with our brothers in this ordeal, and let the world see our stand, cohesion and solidarity to provide relief to those affected by the earthquake,” HH Shaikh Nasser said in a video message posted on his Instagram account.

The campaign includes donations, sending first aid shipments, and launching the national fundraiser campaign with Bahrain TV.

RHF Secretary-General Dr Mustafa Al-Sayed confirmed sending letters seeking donations to national and foreign banks and companies operating in Bahrain. Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr Waleed Al Manea will supervise medicines and medical equipment supplies, Dr Dhia Tawfiqi will supervise development projects, and Shaikh Jassim Al Maawda will coordinate with charitable societies.

Dr Amer Al Derazi will form a medical relief team and Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa will perform media coordination and resource development.
