His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa is well known for his quick responses to those seeking help. So, when the plea for help from Mohsen, who is battling a cancer recurrence, appeared on Instagram, HH Shaikh Nasser, the representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, acted swiftly and wrote: “God, then our efforts, “We are all with you.”

In the video posted from a hospital bed, Mohsen talks about the battle he is waging with the disease. “Last year, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad and the official authorities in the Kingdom, in addition to members of society, helped me, and my health improved at that time.”

“However, the disease came back again and spread more in my body, and today I urgently need financial assistance again to continue receiving treatment,” he said. The video garnered nearly 150,000 views in about a day, as the deluge of words of support and strength continued.

“We believe in you.. and we are here to support you.. hang on there God bless you and strengthen you, Lord,” wrote another user s_abdulmalek9 in the comments space. “When we think of the word strength, you are the definition! Stay strong and get well soon brother,” wrote user inassirisworld.

Another wrote: “We’re with you in this! You’re going to get through it! Stay strong as always, prayers for yooou.” Mohsen, better known as Falee, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumors Stage 4 (DSRCT) in May 2020.

DSRCT is a type of soft-tissue sarcoma which causes multiple tumours to form in the abdomen and pelvis area. Mohsen had earlier said that he draws strength from talking to survivors, being inspired by people’s stories and learning from friends and family to cope with and overcome the challenges he faces. He also underwent an 8.5 hour-long surgery the same year.

A post after the surgery reads: “I am done with the most important part and the rest is easy stuff! Hopefully, all goes well.” “Thank you for giving me all the strength i need to get by! Thank you for your prayers.”
