Riffa central market renovation attracts two bids

The renovation project of Riffa Central Market has attracted two bidders, says Tender Board. Sarab contracting Co, which quoted BHD 749,050.000 and InterLock Maintenance Construction, which quoted BHD921,516.540, are the two bidders.

The Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs, and Urban Planning had said that it is planning to demolish and renovate the supermarket, its fruit and vegetable, and fish and meat sections.

A successful contractor should finish the works in 10 months. The tender board awards the contract after conducting a technical and financial evaluation.

The price shall be the principal criterion after fulfilling technical and other requirements. Meaning, the lowest bidder may not be awarded the tender. Blankets for MoI Meanwhile, a tender launched by the Ministry of Interior for purchasing blankets, bedsheets with pillow covers and other products attracted six bidders. Ashrafs, Universal Medical Equipments, Madaris Uniforms are among the bidders.

Aali Health Centre

The renovation works of Aali Health centre and Zallaq Youth centre also attracted six bidders each. Ministry of Health is planning to convert existing medical record areas there to consultation rooms and other facilities.

Saraya Contractors, Gulf Fencing & Specialist Surfacing, Almoayed Contracting are among the bidders. The bides ranged between BHD 149,883.110 and BHD 274,507.000. Jahecon quoted the lowest amount.
