Pakistan and Bahrain: A celebration of friendship
Manama : Prominent members of Pakistani and Bahraini communities joined in celebrating the longstanding business, trade and economic ties between both countries at a special ceremony organized by Ejaz Chaudhary and Akram Chaudahry at the Gulf Hotel, where the Ambassador of Pakistan, Javed Malik was the Chief Guest.
The Special Guest of Honour was Speaker of Council of Representatives, Ahmed Al Mulla whereas a large number of Parliamentarians, and business leaders were also present including, Khalid Al Zayani, Isa Abdul Rahim, Ahmed Bin Hindi, Muhammad Sajid, Muhammad Usman
and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Javed Malik said that “the people of Pakistan and Bahrain are connected together through a shared faith, a similarity of cultures, and historic ties that can be trace back to centuries.”
He said that just like the histories, even the future is connected, and Pakistan regards the stability and progress of Bahrain as the that of Pakistan.
He paid tribute to the Pakistani community in Bahrain for their ongoing contributions and appreciated the Rulers, government and the people of Bahrain for their warm hospitality towards the people of Pakistan.
He appreciated the role being played by Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, and the business community and fondly remembered the recent visit by Khalid R. Al Zayani, and other delegation members to Pakistan under the leadership of the Minister of Commerce, Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani which opened the new avenues of cooperation between both countries.
The Ambassador also announced that the Global Overseas Pakistanis Organization, Pakistan International Council will be launching its Bahrain chapter soon, which would work to promote, consolidate and expand people to people contacts between both countries.
