Olympic Day a success

Manama : Bahrain joined other nations around the globe to celebrate the 2017 Olympic Day at Dohat Arad in Muharraq, with more than 300 men and women athletes flocking to the park to compete in a running race involving different group ages and open to all.

Mohammed Al Dossary raced to victory in the men’s senior race and followed by Abdulla Al A’ali and Nawaf Sulaiman in second and third places, respectively.

In the women’s section, Emily Briones took first place, with the runner up being Eva Pino and Monica Vanvuuren in third.

In the open race, Yousif Sulaibekh clinched victory, behind him was Mohammed Abdulla in second and Mohammed Al Tamimi third.

Maune Gabana was victorious in the women’s open race, with Klara Marecholva second and Angela Aguilo third.

In the 5-19 years race, Mohammed Qassim clinched victory in the boys section from second placed Mohammed Khalid and Mahdi Al Qassab in third.

Rena Mareschova raced to victory in the same age category for girls, with Bayan Abdulla in second and third place going to Rawan Abdulla.

Saqer Ali came on top in the 11-14 years category race against Faisal Al Thawadi and Mahran Qassim, who finished second and third place respectively.

In the girls race of the same age category, Amna Ali emerged as the winner, followed by Nawaf Abdulla in second and Marjan Qannati third.
