Couple arrested for cylinder theft
Manama : A couple who stole 74 cylinders within the time span of a few weeks was arrested following investigations by the Police in the Southern Governorate.
The cylinder thieves were caught by police after several complaints from residents of the southern governorate led the police to an investigation. A 35-year old woman, and a 25-year old man reportedly her boyfriend, was arrested by the authorities.
“Witnesses had informed the police that they have seen a woman making off with the stolen cylinders in a gold colored car. Southern Police Directorate search and investigation division head Captain Hamid Abdul Latif Abdulrahman said that the first target was to look for the vehicle, after which they could zero in on the woman and, perhaps, her accomplices. Witness accounts and CCTV footage from the scenes of crime revealed the license plate of the suspect vehicle. This vehicle, according to the Traffic Directorate, was owned by a woman, a resident of Hamad Town,” Ministry of Interior said in its publication Al Amn.
