International jury members of Bahrain Entrepreneurship Award announced

Manama : The organising committee of the third edition of Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship, has announced its international jury members for the final stage of the award.

“The organising committee has been keen to include prominent entrepreneurs with outstanding achievements on local, regional and international levels,” Chief Executive of Tamkeen, Dr Ebrahim Janahi said. 

The third edition of the Entrepreneurship award, held under the patronage of Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa aims to inspire innovation across all business sectors leading to the economic development in line with the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.

“It includes the development of internal infrastructure and regulatory framework, in addition to providing an incubating environment for the entrepreneurs as part of the overall strategy of the Kingdom,” Dr Ebrahim added.

Project Manager of the Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship, Faisal Sultan said, “During the final phase, finalists will be subjected to a detailed assessment based on the corresponding criteria for five of the seven award categories, which will comprise diverse enterprises that range in size and type. The winners will be announced in their respective categories during the award ceremony in April.” 

The Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship includes seven categories: Micro-Enterprise of the Year, Start-up of the Year, SME of the Year, Enterprise of the Year with International Footprint, Sustainability in Business Award, Female Entrepreneur of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement Award. 

The award is organised by Tamkeen, in association with its strategic partners including the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, Economic Development
Board, the Bahrain Development Bank, the Bahrain Chamber of Industry and Commerce, as well as its advisors, the Arab International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Investment – Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) for Investment and Technology in Bahrain, and Ernst & Young (EY) Bahrain.
