Authorities evict illegal street vendors
Manama : Ministry personnel from the Capital General Secretariat, Muharraq, Northern and Southern Areas Municipalities, have removed illegal street vending outlets near mosques and shopping malls in the four governorates of the Kingdom.
This comes as Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry conducted several campaigns recently to combat the street vendors phenomenon and remove all street violations.
The ministry, in cooperation with the Health and Interior Ministries conducted the campaign in areas where illegal vendors gather the most to illegally sell their products.
It also removed unauthorised buildings and cabins, to ensure that public roads are not exploited.
The ministry has called upon the public to submit any complaints regarding illegal vendors on its hotline on 80001855.
