Role of RAP vital

ManamaCadets graduated from the Royal Academy of Police (RAP) will play an integral part in safeguarding the Kingdom’s gains to ensure continued progress and development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, said His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, yesterday.

The Crown Prince was addressing the graduation ceremony of the ninth batch of RAP cadets.

Prince Salman was welcomed by the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and other senior MOI officers.

Paying rich tributes to the Kingdom’s security forces for successfully protecting Bahrain and its citizens, Prince Salman lauded the Interior Ministry for their dedication in maintaining security and rule of law in the Kingdom. Prince Salman also praised the Minister of Interior for his vital contribution in maintaining peace and stability in the Kingdom.

Congratulating the officer cadets for their diligence and hard work put in at the RAP, the Crown Prince told them to fully utilise all the skills and expertise in their future assignments.

Shaikh Rashid congratulated the RAP cadets for successfully graduating as officers and obtaining a bachelor’s degree in law and police science.

“What makes you and the previous batch special is that you joined in 2011 and 2012 after the security incidents that Bahrain witnessed. You joined the security service out of loyalty, citizenship and the enthusiasm to serve the nation. I salute your decision to join the security establishment. In more recent years, there has been a high demand to join the public security force. This is the best indication of the sense of nationalism of youth and their readiness to take up their national responsibly. This is a source of appreciation and gratitude for all,” Shaikh Rashid said.

“The graduates should realise that the regulatory authority is the organisation that protects the law. You should know the law, be committed to it and inform individuals who work with you about it to ensure it is enforced. It is important to understand our security mission as stated in the public security law, including a number of main security duties such as the protection of public order and security, and the protection of life, honour and property,” Shaikh Rashid said.
