Trio gets jail for attacking cops
Manama : The Supreme Appeals Courthas reduced the prison terms of three defendants implicated in attacking a police station following an appeal.
The defendants were initially handed down 10 years behind the bars each, however, the Supreme Appeals Court reduced their sentences to five years each.
The trio are believed to have been involved in a group that launched an assault with firebombs on Khamis Police Station with an intention to murder the police officers.
The attack damaged the outer fence of the property as well as a police patrol and a car belonging to a police officer.
They were found guilty of possessing firebombs and attacking a public property.
