Tunisians in Bahrain meet their president

President Beji Caid Essebsi met, on Wednesday evening in Manama, with the Tunisian community in Bahrain.

The head of State told Tunisian expatriates "Tunisia is facing several problems, including in first place terrorism," calling on the Tunisian community in Manama to convey a good image of Tunisia to the Bahraini people.

"The future of Tunisians will be better," he said, reminding of the economic, security and social difficulties faced presently by the country.

Caid Essebsi added "no country is immune from terrorism," stressing the need for combined Arab efforts as part of joint action with the major world powers to establish a comprehensive counter-terrorism strategy.

After a visit to Kuwait, the President of the Republic arrived, on Wednesday in Manama where he had talks with King of Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa

Several co-operation agreements in the fields of security, defence, air transport and health were signed as well as a memorandum of understanding on environment protection and sustainable development.
