Praise for Bahrain’s parliamentary progress under royal leadership

The First Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Mr. Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, and the Second Deputy Speaker, Dr. Jihad Abdullah Al-Fadhel, have extended their highest congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of the International Day of Parliamentarism.

The global observance, marked annually on June 30, is being held this year under the theme “Highlighting Human Rights.”

Fakhro and Al-Fadhel emphasized that the occasion reflects the importance of parliamentary work in strengthening democratic principles, promoting human rights, supporting democratic practice, and reinforcing national participation while safeguarding rights and freedoms. They noted that these values align with the wise vision of His Majesty the King, which has significantly contributed to advancing Bahrain’s democratic journey.

They also praised the strong support and attention given to these principles by the government, led by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, highlighting the constructive partnership between the legislative and executive authorities. This cooperation, they said, has helped enhance national participation and further entrench rights and freedoms in the Kingdom.

The officials prayed for continued security, stability, progress, and prosperity for Bahrain under its wise leadership.
